2.0.8
Hey Woziers! Thanks for all the feedback this past month. You've been amazing!
I'm rolling out a new option for our learning flow: Prioritize Review. A few of you reached out asking how the word order actually works, so here's the quick version - Wozi serves up a mix of new words based on your current level, plus words you didn't quite nail before that are queued up for review.
Some of you then asked: "Can I just focus on review and not learn new words until I've mastered what I already have?" and honestly, that's a great idea.
So that's exactly what this does! When Prioritize Review is turned on, Wozi won't introduce any new words until all your due-for-review words are cleared. Get through your backlog first, then keep moving forward.
β¨ New
- β’ βPrioritize Reviewβ mode, clears all due-for-review words before introducing anything new
π Improvements
- β’ Word and sentence audio is even more reliable now, and it still won't touch your background music
π Fixes
- β’ Fixed font weight rendering for Chinese, Japanese, and Korean
2.0.7
Hey! Quick update. I've rethought how review cards work. Now when a word comes up for review, you'll see the context sentence front and centre, with the headword hidden by default.
The idea: I want you to engage with how the word actually lives in a sentence, not just match it to a translation. If you hate it, there's a toggle to bring the headword back. Let me know how it feels!
β¨ New
- β’ Redesigned review cards, with the context sentence first and the headword hidden, so you can focus on real usage (toggle it back if you want)
- β’ Word list view, so you can browse all words in the word lists in one place
π Improvements
- β’ Speaking indicator now clearly shows whether it's reading the word or the sentence
- β’ Unified the font usage for Chinese, Japanese, and Korean so it looks much better and more consistent now
π Fixes
- β’ Fixed a bug where text-to-speech could freeze the app
