Hello, Woziers around the world! This is a quality improvement update. Better sentence-to-speech quality has been on my list for a while. I was hoping to find an offline version that worked well, but after some research, it was not the right fit. In this update, I have added an online version that should sound better than the default voice. Try it out and let me know what you think.

Hello, Woziers around the world! This update brings something new and shiny.

The first new addition is "Dictation Mode", which helps you test whether you have really mastered a word. When this feature is enabled for a word that has already been marked "passed" twice, the target word in the sample sentence is blurred starting the third time that word appears. This gives you a chance to recall the spelling and write it down on paper to check your answer. This is an experimental feature, and you can enable it under the More Settings tab.

Also, thanks to feedback from one user who needs to prepare word lists for her kids, Wozi now has another way to bring words into the app. Adding every word manually would take too much work, so she suggested extracting words from pictures. Here it is. Give it a try and let me know what you think!

Hello, this is a bug-fix update. Thanks for reporting the issues on iPad with iOS 17. This update takes care of them. As an indie developer, I usually focus heavily on the newest tech, so problems on older system versions can occasionally get missed. My bad. Hmm, how did I miss this? A Wozier just reminded me that I never turned off horizontal, or landscape, mode for Wozi on iPhone. If system rotation lock was off, the app could rotate. My mistake, I've fixed that in this update.
