But as I’ve kept improving Wozi, better pronunciation for words and sentences has become more important—and that’s hard to provide entirely on your device. That’s why I brought in online pronunciation.

In this update, I’ve added an experimental option called Apple voice first. Switch it on, and Wozi prioritises an installed Apple voice, so word and sentence pronunciation can carry on working when you’re offline.

The study logic is unchanged, but the data now flows more smoothly and is less likely to leave you with an empty deck. There was a rare bug where swiping really, really quickly could make Wozi run out of words—this update sorts it.
